Milling Process
To go along with our Superior length, we also provide a Superior Bevel. Our unique and special micro bevel provides for a very, very small rounded edge, which allows for the boards of your hardwood floor to fit closer together.
The Four-Sided Micro Bevel
The way the boards fit together is a result of the quality of the milling – if your sub-floor is not perfectly flat (and it most often is not), on a square cut, one board will sit higher than the other. Once a floor is laid, the customer sometimes mistakenly, will often think this uneven laying of boards is an installation issue. The installers, typically unjustifiably blamed, usually know right away, this is a milling issue - and it happens before the floor even gets delivered to your home.
With our four-sided micro bevel, there are NO square cuts. Superior boards with our four-sided micro bevel fit very snugly, and lay really, really, really (did we say really? we mean really) tightly together. This means there are no gaps or misalignments in your flooring.
